# Maduragoda Graphite Sites ## Overview Carbonatik is thrilled to announce the exploration of a highly promising graphite deposit in the Maduragoda area of Sri Lanka. This expansive 100-acre site, located just 2km from Maduragoda town, shows exceptional potential for high-grade vein graphite. ## Terrain - Hilly, situated in the highland region ## Geological Highlights - Primary rock types: Garnet Sillimanite Schist with Gneissic rock - Structure: North to South strike with a nearly vertical dip towards East ## Deposit Characteristics Our initial field observations reveal: 1. A laterite topsoil layer (0-3 meters) 2. Weathered rock containing graphite veins (below 3 meters) 3. Graphite veins associated with quartzite and gneissic rock 4. Vein thickness: Approximately 2 to 3 meters 5. Known depth: Exceeding 100 meters (based on existing mine data) ## Graphite Quality Preliminary assessments indicate high-grade flake graphite with an estimated carbon content surpassing 95%. This exceptional quality positions our deposit among the world's premium graphite sources. ## Historical Context The area has a rich history of graphite mining, dating back to the British colonial era. Recent small-scale mechanical mining operations have further confirmed the site's potential. ## Next Steps To fully evaluate the economic viability of this site, Carbonatik plans to: 1. Conduct detailed geological mapping across the entire 100-acre area 2. Perform comprehensive geophysical surveys 3. Implement a strategic drilling program These steps will help us determine the full extent of the graphite deposit and its potential for large-scale commercial development. ## Potential Based on our initial observations and the area's geological conditions, we believe there's a strong possibility that the entire hill contains significant graphite resources. Our exploration efforts will focus on establishing the continuation of the graphite veins towards the Northeast or Southwest. Carbonatik is committed to responsible exploration and development. We will work closely with local communities and adhere to all environmental regulations as we move forward with this exciting project. Stay tuned for updates as we uncover the full potential of the Maduragoda Graphite Sites.

Carbonatik © 2024
